Where all my interests come together

I have always been drawn to storytelling. Long before I ever picked up a camera, I spent countless hours editing videos and teaching myself how to bring moments to life through the screen. More than a decade ago, I decided to learn photography so I could create better visuals for my videos. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with photography itself.

Today, I am an attorney by profession and a 2018 graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, but photography remains one of my favorite creative outlets. It is the perfect balance to the analytical nature of practicing law and gives me the opportunity to capture the energy, emotion, and details that make every subject unique.

The name Nahundi is where those two worlds meet. It comes from Nahhunte, the sun god of the ancient Elamites — a civilization that thrived in what is now southwestern Iran long before the rise of Persia. Like most sun gods of the ancient world, he was a deity of both light and justice; the sun sees everything, so it became the guardian of truth, oaths, and law. For a lawyer who spends his free time chasing light, the fit was too good to pass up — equal parts inside joke and mission statement.

If there is one thing you will notice throughout my work, it is a passion for cars. Whether it is a concours-winning classic, a weekend cruiser, or a purpose-built track machine, I love telling the story behind every vehicle through my lens. That same approach carries over into everything I photograph — finding the angles, lighting, and moments that make each image stand out.

When I am not in a courtroom or behind the camera, you will probably find me behind the wheel on a scenic road, tinkering with technology, or building something with LEGO bricks. Creativity has always been a constant in my life, and photography is where all of those interests come together.

Working together

Photography is a passion project more than a business, but I do take on select paid work. If you have a car, an event, or a build you would like documented, reach out through Instagram — I would love to hear about it.
